Second Shipment- Pretty Packages

A very sweet friend of mine from Nova Scotia lost her husband last year to Cancer. Her children and herself moved from Japan back to Cape Breton after his death to where she grew up. I felt very privledged when she asked me to design 8 Colours Of Cancer Bracelets as gifts to all those wonderful people who had helped her through this difficult time. Although I won't post pictures of the bracelets now, as they are Christmas gifts, I will show you all the pretty little packages that will greet her when she opens them. God bless you and your family this holiday Setsu, you are such a remarkable woman and beautiful friend.

Getting Ready For The Holiday Rush!

Well it is already starting! Customers getting in line to place their custom orders for Christmas for all those good little girls on their lists! I love doing them and have been super busy creating one of a kind necklaces, bracelets and other art projects . The one necklace was a gift to my mom as she really loves the chunky charm necklaces I've been creating and the others are on their way to Ella Lynns this weekend (that is If the girls at work don't grab them first..... ) They never seem to make it to the store! This is the third attempt so Allie, Jill.....I am trying!

Back To School Bling

Forget the pencils, notebooks, and math sets.... We all know back to school means shopping for the perfect pair of jeans, hoody and latest graphic T's! Maybe a cool skirt and cute little top? I felt like painting , had the urge to break open the acrylics and be messy, lay something from my head onto a concrete surface for all to admire..But wait! Are those beads and babbles calling out for me as well? What's a girl to do? Well I did both, painted some beachy shells and made fun summer bling! See, you can have it all!

Sun...Is That You???

Holy sunshine batman!!

So happy to see the sun today and enjoy the outdoors without winter gear! This May and June has not been warm or sunny one bit and makes for some long days. Long uninspiring days....

The studio wood pile is depleted and I REFUSE to light another fire in June so I'll have to work quickly and dress warm. Isn't that crazy?

Despite the depressing sky I did create a couple of jewelry pieces this week and had alot of fun designing them. One piece ((the long multi-coloured chain link)) will be on it's way to Vancouver at the end of the month as a birthday gift. This will be the second piece to have travelled to B.C and I'm very happy about it. I know it's only 2 pieces but it is still exciting. One piece has even made it to Tanzania!! Hope I spelt that right.... we didn't learn that word in grade 3 yet!

I plan to play quite a bit this weekend whether it's snowing , sleeting or raining! I will post more pictures as they become available.
