I've been doing a lot of abstract paintings lately, playing with colour and texture but I really miss doing these whimsical story like pieces. When I am painting a scene such as this I get lost in the picture and lose track of time...hours can go by and it feels like only minutes. What better way to escape from the hectic pace of everyday life?
