Gifts
The guitar pick necklaces are popular and have been ordered for the young rock and roll stars and for their music teachers. I love them and I have worn them as well when feeling edgy and funky! Some of the beads are from Cuba hand made by locals and the clay beads are handmade by me. The beautiful bracelets above are gifts to Bridesmaids and Maid of Honour for an upcoming wedding in July, from the Bride. Congratulations Renee!

Heart The Art Prompts 2010 Week # 19 " Plans Concepts Ideas"
Plan? Ideas? The birth of a concept? Well since my plans usually fall through..... I decided to make this prompt all about how I try to live life with a free spirited attitude and not stress to much about lifes little problems. I don't normally follow a plan or believe I need to have one, because I don't really know what could happen from one moment to the next. When I do decide to do something involving my art it's quite spontaneous and more about feelings than a plan. If I had to make a plan I'm pretty sure it would change several times before I got to the end of it, so why make one?? Oh I guess they can be useful in other areas but for me I like to see what happens and go from there. This piece was one of my favs to do and I think by looking at it you can feel the impulsiveness behind it.
A Bear Cub Stopped In For Breakfast.....
So picture this. I'm sitting in the living room writing another "god I hate this rain " status on facebook, because nothing exciting was happening , when I look out the glass door leading to my little deck and there is this beautiful little bear cub snacking away on yesterdays garbage bag! I grabbed my camera and opened up the door , he was leaning up against the door eating, and it scared him away....but only briefly. The allure of stale hamburger buns and coffee grinds was too much for him/her so it came back not minding one bit that I was snapping these pics only a foot away!! Thank goodness just before this I had let my soggy wet dog in and banished him to the basement or I may have missed out on this wonderful experience. Yes Gladys made a mess, ( that's the name I gave my new friend..... I thought it fitting since it was destroying the Glad garbage bags in search of yummies!) But It was totally worth it to see such a beautiful little creature so close. I hope he goes back into the woods and finds it's mom though , I don't want her to find me !!

Circle Of Life...

Our friend and summer neighbour, Brian , sent me this amazing photo of these baby robins that recently hatched in the overhang of his cabin. He has been keeping an eye on this nest for the past few weeks trying not to disturb it while mom stayed close by keeping a close eye on him! It's such a miracle to watch these little guys start out as little blue eggs and then emerge as tiny babies! Mom picked a great place to have these little guys, thanks Brian for keeping them safe and for sharing this miracle with us!

Guitar Hero..... Necklace?
My hubby Mark is a guitar player extraordinaire and plays in a classic rock band here in town. When he asked me to come up with something he could wear around his neck that was cool and not to showy the first thing I came up with was this little number using one of his guitar pics and some tribal beads on a black cord ---he loved it . Now his little groupies ( yes he has them!) will have something else to drool over!! lol! Anyway.... I made this back in March before we left for our trip to Toronto and decided to bring one to our friend and fellow guitar player Blaine, as a token of friendship and thank you for his hospitality . He seemed delighted to receive it and I hope he wears it for all his groupies too! I love playing around with different ideas and this was super fun to do. Wonder what I'll come up with next?
