This entry in my art journal was spontaneous, as most of them are, and triggered mostly by the watercolour I did back in the '90's of my daughter playing on the phone. I remember spending hours on the phone making plans with friends, talking about the weekend, giggling and whispering late at night so the parents didn't kick you off... How fun! Now my phone sits on the counter hardly used looking sad and bored while my 3 offspring use MSN to converse with their friends. And they don't even use real words! brb,lol,ttyl.... and some I just gave up trying to figure out! I realize it's the sign of the times and things change, but I still think speaking to someone on the phone and hearing their voice and laughter is better than reading it on a computer screen. I guess I'm just old fashioned.
