New Summer Bling!

All Things Pink

Maybe it's the lack of color in the sky and gardens, due to this cold weather, but I am craving something bold and beautiful! I haven't even teased myself with my visits to the green houses yet because it's just not nice enough out to plant anything! Until the sun comes out and the flowers start to bloom, I shall have to play with my paints and have some fun with my own colour scheme. This time I chose pink as it seems to lift my spirits and remind me of being a little girl again. Hope you like!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAELA!!!!

My sweet little girl turned 14 today and despite the cold rainy day, we had a nice time . The boys were gone and Mark is at work until tomorrow so we just hung out then went shopping for her birthday gifts. Tomorrow the family will come over for some cake so she will be happy to see them and the gifts they bare! She is waiting until better weather to have her friends over for a campfire and sleepover. Smart girl. I just hope we get some soon, I have a fire going in the fireplace right now!

My Studio

There is only one good thing that came from all that yucky cold wet weather, and that is all the cleaning and organizing I did in my cabin/studio! There is alot more I could do, but then I'd have no time to play and that just makes me cranky! Last weekend on our yard sale excursion, I found a wooden shelf that was in need of a home and a paint job. First thing I thought of was how awesome it would be to use it to organize my papers and other scrapbooking goodies. The shelf was pretty worn and weathered (still is...but painted) and it is perfect!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Went over to visit Mom today to wish her a great mother's day and decided to take a snapshot of the two of us. Well!! Every picture I took seemed to look worse and worse and we were laughing so hard at how funny we looked I finally just went with this first one. Hope everyone had a great day with their moms and shared some laughs like I did!

Treasures!

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!! All work no play, makes Lisa very grumpy! I've been working alot and running with kids so my art has been put aside for a few days, which I am not happy about, BUT that is life right now! I did however, go on a yard sale excursion with my 2 favourite sidekicks Barb and Val and a stuffed giraffe named Grace! A teacher at our school asked that we take her and get some photos to share with her class...what a hoot! Anyway it was FREEZING COLD, but we managed to find a few bargains. My favourite find was a box filled with old glass Christmas Ornaments, which Val dropped.....she said it was by accident but I think she was jealous! Lucky for her only a couple broke WHEW! It was a great morning full of laughter and shivering! Next weekend we are going again, but if I find anything fragile....I'll carry it myself!
