With the recent announcement from my lovely, and often forgetful daughter, that she is going to her boyfriends graduation in 3 weeks..... I decided I better start creating some jewelry for other last minute grad dates. We found the most beautiful flattering dress ( and shoes) for Michaela at a new little boutique in town Suzannes Boutique all within 30 mins of finding out she was going! Power shopping at it's best! Anyhoo....I then realized she needed a pretty little necklace to go with it and thus all of these pretties came from it. Sometimes a stressful situation can turn into a good thing! I just hope she gives me more notice next time !!

Bling Bling....

Thunder and lightning very very frightning!!! So I went out into the studio and played with my beads! Yes we had a thunder storm that lasted all day and night and there is nothing else to do on a day like that now is there? So I made a few pieces, and there are some more to be pictured later so stayed tuned. :)

Spring Bling 2010

I just love March Break! I spent the afternoon yesterday listening to some classic rock and creating some cool new necklaces for Ella Lynns ( a very cool ladies wear store in our city) I really enjoyed playing with my beads again and came up with some awesome new chunky chokers and long \ medium necklaces on silver, gold and leather. Blues are very popular this summer in the fashion world so I did a few more blues than I had originally planned and glad I did. They are very pretty and will look awesome with almost anything you wear this summer.

Well I'm happy to say that the wheels are turning, beads are arriving and I have more designs spinning in this head of mine so stayed tuned my lovelies!

Custom Orders For Spring

Back to beading ! The orders are still coming in (( Thank you very much everyone)) and it is nice to be able to do some beading and painting . I like to mix it up you know...keep it exciting! Anyway , just a short entry while I'm waiting for my coffee to brew! Happy Saturday everyone!

Go Long!

I love all the long multi-layered necklaces and thought I'd make one for my first day back at school tomorrow. I mixed large looped chain with a medium link and then a very small one which I think worked out quite well. To finish it off I added an antique glass chandelier crystal , a silver locket with my hubby's intial and my own (awww so romantic!), and a beautiful glass bead dangle. I think it is stunning and I cannot wait to wear it!

Wow! The weekend is here again and I don't know where the time went. This time of year is busy at work and in the studio. Grad orders are coming in and orders for other occasions as well, so I'm a busy girl....and a tired one too! Here are a couple of the custom charm bracelets I made last week (( but too exhausted to post them! lol )) It was ordered by one customer who wants to give one to her 2 sisters who are very different from each other. One sister , who's nickname is Di, she has a blond son, and loves post it notes and the colour blue! The other sister loves colour, has 2 yorkies, collects barbies...(( i'm still working on that charm )) and who's nick name is Jack. I love making these personal pieces because you just can't find them anywhere else and it is really all about them. One more to go for this customer and it's for her daughter who is graduating grade 8, this will be a fun one! The other orders I have will be posted later this weekend as I plan to play as much as I can before I go back to work on Monday!

What To Do When It Snows In May

I'm not one to sit around and fret about the weather, but ENOUGH SNOW already!!! It is hard to get inpired and think happy thoughts when it is freezing outside, but this May Long Weekend I did just that. Besides having a small family birthday party for my daughter Michaela, who turned 15 on Sunday, I got a hot fire going in my studio and had some play time !

I wasn't too sure what I wanted to create until I started playing around with all the different beads and charms. I must have been enjoying myself because I made a couple very funky and very FULL charmed necklaces. I love them and think they will be perfect for a summer night out dancing or just chill'n with the girls over lunch!

I also added some much needed love to a painting of a little girl that I did way back in 1996! Well if love consists of some cool paper ,some old tickets and text from a vintage childrens book than it was definately love I added !
